Hi Aliakbar

This plugin doesn't have anything to do with how photos react when you click them, that is handled by another plugin you have installed.

Sorry.

Thanks in advance. Good plugin.

Hi,

If I want to use $this->module in my index.phtml, what Should I need to place in Bootstrap.php file.

I will explain:

If you use this print_r($this->_getAllParams()); in any of your controllers, suppose contactController;

it will display
Array (
        [controller] => contact
        [action] => index
        [module] => default
      )

instead of using that function (getAllParams()), I just want to initialize the controller, module, action values in bootstrap itself, so that I can use the values anywhere (controller / view) like $this->view->module in controller and $this->module in my views.

Please let me know how can we achieve this.

Thanks in Advance.

Hi Mathias,

If I have the autothumb generator and the NextGen gallery sidebar widget - where do I place the image width and height parameters. It says I have to go into my html? But if it's a sidebar??? I guess I can add the image parameters to the sidebar.php file under a div or something?

I am still struggling to get spaces to show up between my two gallery thumbnails in the NextGEN sidebar widget on my home page.

In Internet Explorer there is no space between the two images, they are directly on top of each other.

I put the following code in the .css file of the theme I am using, but it still didn't make a difference, using one or all of these.

<code>
#nextgen-gallery-sidebar-widget {
    clear: left;
}

#nextgen-gallery-sidebar-widget a {
    display: block;
    float: left;
    margin: 0 10px 10px 0;
}

.ngg_sidebar_gallery_widget a {
    display: block;
    float: left;
    margin: 0 5px 5px 0;
}
</code>

In Firefox however there is a space between the two images, even without adding the code.

So I am still baffled!

Hello,
this info about dpkg-deb was just what I missed since I had to give up dpkg-repackage for a while. Repackaging current iptables-amd64 as iptables-i386 with slightly modified dependencies was a matter of seconds. (This is needed, since iptables for i386 won't work with any amd64-kernel on stock i386 Debian installations, even not with amd64-lib installed.
Thank you for your valueable hint.

Thanks for the feedback :) One thing I noticed some time after writing this post was that the JMX console which handles requests like invoking a new build manually and lets you do some other stuff is still not secured with this setup. The console is running on port 8000 by default and the above setup just handles proxying and securing of the frontend while the console is still insecure. I wanted to update the post but was busy and never found time to write that down (as usual...). So, I'll try to explain it quickly in this comment.

What I first did was restricting access to port 8000 just to the local IP via iptables. This should look somehow like this:

<pre class="shell">iptables -A INPUT -s 127.0.0.1/32 -p tcp -m tcp --dport 8000 -j ACCEPT
iptables -A INPUT -p tcp -m tcp --dport 8000 -j REJECT --reject-with icmp-port-unreachable</pre>

Then, I created an extra DNS entry for a subdomain which handles the JMX console and modified my Apache config. I'm using GnuTLS for SSL-based virtual hosts here, but just letting it run without SSL should work fine too. With this config, the frontend is reachable via <kbd>cruisecontrol.example.org</kbd> and the console via <kbd>jmx.cruisecontrol.example.org</kbd>, both using the same authentication backend. The frontend vhost takes care of rewriting all requests to the JMX domain with some more output filter magic. Should more or less work copy&paste, just take care of the URLs in the output filters. My final config looks something like this:

<pre><VirtualHost *:80>
        ServerName cruisecontrol.example.org
        RewriteEngine on
        RewriteRule ^(.*)$ https://cruisecontrol.example.org$1 [R=301,L]
</VirtualHost>
<VirtualHost *:443>

Hey, Cheers for this post. It is quite helpful. I had this all working before with xampp, I have http://localhost working with two virtual hosts http://myclub.dev and http://mycharity.dev. It seems to be broken now with the config below, all query urls (localhost, mycharity and myclub) go to ‘C:/xampp/htdocs/mycharity/dev/’ directory, which is the mycharity.dev vhost dir. If I rename all virtual hosts to *:80 advised in your post instead of the below, all are redirected to ‘C:/xampp/htdocs’ being localhost directory. *:80 used to work when I had this working.

NameVirtualHost *:80

ServerAdmin webmaster@localhost
DocumentRoot C:/xampp/htdocs
ServerName localhost

Options Indexes FollowSymLinks Includes ExecCGI
AllowOverride All
Order allow,deny
Allow from all

ServerAdmin webmaster@localhost
DocumentRoot C:/xampp/htdocs/mycharity/dev/
ServerName mycharity.dev

DocumentRoot C:/xampp/htdocs/myClub/dev/web_root/
ServerName myclub.dev

AllowOverride All
Order allow,deny

My hosts file is also valid at ‘C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc\hosts’.

127.0.0.1 localhost
127.0.0.1 mycharity.dev
127.0.0.1 myclub.dev

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Half way down page I am getting an error message related to file path..Advice much appreciated.

Here is the path I am getting ...I contact webhost and they told me to modify path in post area which is not ideal..There must be a way to modify plugin files to make this work?

This is a great tutorial thanks.

But one question I have is that you put a lot more in application.ini than I've seen in other zend implementations. What are the reasons for putting stuff here rather than in bootstrap.php or index.php?

Cheers

I am a newbie when it comes to webdesign. I have installed nextgen gallery and added the smooth plug-in.

I added a border around my large pictures.....and for the life of me I can not find where I did that. Could you tell me where I can change the border thickness for the pictures.

Thanks and sorry for the dumb question:(

Nice plug-in thank you for your hard work!!

Thanks for your great tutor.
I am using this method for my server now and managing more than 10 accounts so far.

Recently, I found a problem when I try to use postfix as an smtp server in the same server.

Say, there are some email accounts below I am handling in this server:
andy@gmail.com
peter@gmail.com
mary@gmail.com

When I send email to andy@gmail.com via the smtp server in the same server, the email can reach immediately without going to gmail official server.

That's great with this kind of instand action.

However, when I send email, via the smtp server, to other account other than the account i manage in this server, say watermelon@gmail.com, I got an error message something like:
"User unknown in virtual mailbox table."

If I send to watermelon@hotmail.com, there is no problem.

In my understand, after the setting, my server treat "gmail.com" is my own domain. For all the email sending via my server to gmail.com, it will directly deliver to the user in my server.

This make me headache.
At this moment, I am not able to send email via my server to any other friends' gmail account.

Are there any way to solve this problem?

I have a question. i have already installed next gen gallery and also installed your plugin. it all works fine.

my problem is: when the thumbnails show on the side bar the link to a page. the so called gallery page.

here is the question: is there a way that when creating the gallery page, this page wont show on the navigation bar automatically?

thanks for your help.
